WNV Wechsler Novverbal Scale of Ability Kit with Scoring Assistant

The Wechsler Nonverbal Scale of Ability® (WNV®) is an instrument designed for the assessment of intellectual ability in individuals aged 4:0 to 21:11 where language poses a barrier to traditional testing. It helps assess cognitive functioning when language proficiency, hearing, or speech impairments may affect the validity of standard measures.

This tool provides professional teams with a framework that facilitates nonverbal cognitive evaluation and allows them to accurately measure ability in individuals from diverse linguistic or physical backgrounds, including those with low-incidence disorders.

Benefits:

• Language-Neutral Assessment: Native language of the examinee is irrelevant to test performance.

• No Pantomime Required: Clear, standardized administration eliminates the need for pantomiming instructions.

• Flexible Administration: Offers both full and brief versions of the battery to suit different needs, with flexibility for accommodations.

• Inclusive Evaluation: Supports IDEA compliance and allows assessment of Spanish-dominant individuals even in the absence of a Spanish-speaking clinician or translator.

Key Features:

• Full and Brief Versions Available: The Full Battery includes six subtests—Matrices, Object Assembly, Coding, Recognition, Spatial Span, and Picture Arrangement. The Brief Version includes two subtests and yields a single ability score.

• Wide Age Range: Appropriate for individuals aged 4:0 to 21:11.

• Norm-Referenced Scoring: Provides a composite score along with individual subtest scores for a detailed cognitive profile.

• Applicable to Diverse Needs: Valid for use with individuals with conditions such as cerebral palsy, aphasia, multiple disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders.
